1 ISO certification

The International Organization for Standardization - ISO for short - develops international standards in all areas.

At the Hotel Schweizerhof Bern, taking into account the requirements of all interested parties, we are implementing a management system according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

  • ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) certified since March 2013
  • ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System) certified from March 2016

2 Quality management

Our Quality Management System is used to optimize processes, integrate legal requirements, ensure that know-how is safeguarded, and continuously improve quality and service.

We are constantly developing by incorporating feedback from guests and employees, results from internal and external audits, external influencing factors, as well as the demands of interested parties (stakeholders) in our improvement process.

We are familiar with, and adhere to, legislation in the areas of labor law, health, safety, hygiene, finance and taxation, as well as environmental protection.

 

3 Environmental management

We have committed ourselves to environmental and social responsibility, and to respectfully and sustainably manage our environment and its resources. We strive to positively influence the impact of our actions on the well-being of the society in which we operate and to continually improve our environmental performance (measurable results that can have an impact on the environment).

We adhere to laws and regulations. In addition, we strive:

  • to implement environmentally-friendly measures in the operational processes of the hotel
  • to support the development and integration of sustainable technologies
  • to minimize the consumption of energy and water and, wherever possible, to promote recyclability and recycling
  • to integrate guests, customers, employees, suppliers and other partners in our measures to protect the environment, in accordance with the Stakeholder Map
  • to take this commitment to the environment into account when making business decisions

 

4 Quality Seal Level III

The Quality Seal level III is awarded to companies that have developed and successfully implemented a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) that is internationally recognized (for example, ISO 9001).

This quality seal has been awarded again to the Hotel Schweizerhof Bern with the re-certification of its Quality Management System ISO 9001 in March 2016.
